The Bhoomi puja or Bhu puja is the ritual that is performed before starting of a new construction.
In this, mother earth is treated as Goddess and hence worship and devotional respects being paid to the Bhoomi, which points to the mother earth or Bhooma Devi.
Devi’s blessing is pledged through Bhoomi Puja so that it removes all the doshas (flaws, defects) of Vastu Shastra.
Typically the Bhoomi Puja is done before digging the land or plot to seek permission and blessing from mother earth.
The Puja also removes all doshas and the negative energy and get blessings from the Bhu Mata.

In Hindu mythology, bhoomi pooja is regarded as one of the important pujas. It is primarily a ritual dedicated to the “earth”i.e “Bhoomi” which is considered as a sacred element in Hinduism and is referred to as “ Mother Goddess’. Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-days Indian festival that is celebrated by the Hindu devotees.

While Ganesh Chaturthi is usually celebrated on Shukla Chaturthi, which comes in the month of August or September, a devotee can arrange to Ganesh puja anytime in the year that he wants to seek blessings from God for the success in life.
