One of the commonly celebrated puja is Shree Satyanarayana puja, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The word ‘Satyanarayana’ is the combination of two different words – Satya + Narayan. Satya means “Truth” and Narayan means “the highest and the ultimate form or greatest man”.
The Satyanarayana puja is celebrated on any special occasion like childbirth, after marriage, house warming (gruh pravesh) or any other special festival.
According to the Skanda Purana, the Satyanarayana puja is being celebrated since many years in India.
Sage Narada mentioned in the Satyanarayana katha that performing Satyanarayana puja is the easiest way of getting cheerfulness and moksha.
This puja is one of the holiest pujas from the Hindu culture, disciples perform it with great devotion towards lord Vishnu.
